Hills East Football Smashes Brentwood

T-Bird roll over Brentwood 49-14 in front of packed homecoming crowd.

Before a packed homecoming crowd, the Hills East Thunderbirds smashed the Brentwood Indians 49-14.  

Senior quarterback RJ Nitti continues to compile impressive statistics, now leading Long Island with 1503 passing yards. In this effort, Nitti completed 18 of 22 passes for 324 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Nitti went to the air to three weapons yesterday, throwing two touchdown passes to Michael Morris, who had 4 catches for 49 yards, two touchdown passes to Devin McDonald, who had 3 catches for 110 yards, and one touchdown pass to DJ Paul, who had 9 catches for 99 yards.

On the ground, running back Quentin America had an efficient 11 carries for 94 yards and 1 touchdown. 

Standouts defensively were sophomore linebacker Mike Dwoskin who recorded 8 tackles and one interception, and senior linebacker Brandon Brightman with 6 tackles.

The T-Birds are now 3-3 and face Lindenhurst next Saturday at home at 2 p.m. Please come out and support the team.
