Hills Youth Lacrosse Squad Honored Guests of Dowling Team

The girls of the Hills 5 Gold Team were recently the honored guests of the Dowling College women's lacrosse team during their home game versus Bridgeport.

The Hills players were invited to participate with the Dowling team’s on-field introductions and were ceremoniously escorted onto the field for the National Anthem. At halftime they once again took to the turf for a friendly scrimmage with the girls of Huntington 5 White.

After watching Dowling dismantle their opponent and picking up some game strategies along the way, the fifth grade girls had the opportunity to meet and mingle and grab a few autographs after the game.

Perhaps this team outing supplied a little inspiration for our girls own opening game the next day, when they won their home opener against a skilled Wantagh team 11-9.
