Koi Fish Statues Stolen From Dix Hills Aquatic Nursery: Police

The two statues were worth a combined $6,000, police say. Detectives are looking for the thieves, who are wanted for grand larceny.

DIX HILLS, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the person or people who, police said, stole statues in Dix Hills in September.

Two koi fish statues were stolen from Koi Market Aquatic Nursery and Bonsai, at 539 Deer Park Avenue, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sept. 25, police said. The statues are valued at roughly $6,000, police said. The thieves are wanted for grand larceny.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
