Large Tree Falls On Car In Dix Hills
The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
A driver was hospitalized after a large tree fell on a vehicle driving in Dix Hills on Wednesday, June 14.
According to fire officials, a large tree fell onto the car traveling on Deer Park Road and Royal Lane at 6:20 p.m. Dix Hills Firefighters and Suffolk Police Emergency Services responded to the scene and cut the tree away so the drive could be safely removed.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to Huntington Hospital by the Dix Hills Rescue Squad.

An ambulance, heavy rescue pumper and paramedic responder were dispatched to the scene. All units were under the direction of Chief Tom Napolitano and Assistant Chiefs Joe Williamson and Brett Tepe.
