Long Island Lawyer Pointed Gun At Client: Police

It happened Monday afternoon, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY – A Long Island lawyer was arrested Monday after he pointed a handgun at a client during a dispute, Suffolk Police said.

According to police, Pierre Bazile, who works for at the Law Offices of Christopher J. Cassar located at 13 East Carver St. in Huntington engaged in a verbal dispute with a client at about 12:15 p.m.

Bazile, 46, then allegedly pointed a 9mm handgun at the 32-year-old male client and ordered him out of his office. The client, who was not injured, exited the office and waited for police to arrive, police said. A 9mm handgun was recovered at the scene.

Second Squad detectives charged Bazile, of Huntington Station, with second degree menacing. Bazile was released after posting bail at the precinct.

Bazile was an NYPD officer for 14 years before he began practicing law in 2007, according to his bio on the law firm's website.
