Man in Critical Condition After Car Overturns in Melville

Police are investigating to see if the man suffered a medical emergency before the crash occurred Sunday afternoon.

A 68-year-old man was left critically injured after police said his vehicle overturned in Melville on Sunday afternoon.

According to authorities, a 2015 Mercedes Benz, operated by Melville resident Vincent Denino, was pulling into a Mary Court driveway when the vehicle struck an embankment and flipped over at 3:40 p.m.

Denino was extricated from his car by the Melville Fire Department and was taken to Northwell Health Plainview Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

Police are investigating to see if Denino suffered a medical emergency before the crash occurred.

The vehicle was impounded and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
