Man Displays Gun In Melville 7-Eleven Robbery: Police

The man stole cash after demanding the employees open the register and lay on the floor, police say.

MELVILLE, NY — A man robbed a store in Melville at gunpoint in August, and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding him, police said Thursday.

A man entered 7-Eleven, at 613 Broadhollow Road, at 11:16 p.m. Aug. 5, displayed a handgun and demanded employees open the register and lay on the floor, police said. The man took between $700 and $800 before fleeing the store, police said. He is wanted for robbery.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
