Man Robs Dix Hills Bank

Suffolk County Police Major Case Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at a Bank of America branch in Dix Hills today.

Police said a man entered the bank, located at 709 Old Country Road, at 12:50 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding cash and threatening the use of a weapon. The teller gave the man cash from the drawer and the man fled in an unknown direction.

Police describe the man as 5 feet 9 inches tall, in his late 20s or early 30s, and was wearing dark glasses and a black hooded sweatshirt. He was carrying a newspaper and a paper bag.
