Man Stole 6 Women's Jackets From Melville Store: Police

MELVILLE, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the man who police said stole merchandise from a Melville store in January.

A man stole six North Face women’s jackets from Public Lands, at 870 Walt Whitman Road, at 1:47 p.m. Jan. 15, police said. The man was described by police as black and in his late 40s to early 50s with gray hair. He drove away in a dark-colored hatchback, police said.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
