A Melville-based firm was recently recognized for its support of the Michael Magro Foundation, which aims to improves the lives children with pediatric chronic illnesses and their families.
Siena Wealth Advisory Group, an Ameriprise private wealth advisory practice, received the 2014 Ameriprise Financial Community Impact Award for its commitment and volunteer services to the foundation.

Established in 2005, the Michael Magro Foundation honors the young life of Michael Magro who passed away from Leukemia.
Certified Financial Planners Joe De Sena and Katie Coleman and their team of four associates raised more than $100,000 for the foundation by running marathons, applying for corporate grants and supporting the foundation’s fundraising events. De Sena was one of the founding board members, and Coleman has served on the board since joining Siena Wealth Advisory Group in 2008.

In honor of the team’s efforts, the Michael Magro Foundation will receive a $2,500 donation from Ameriprise Financial.
The Ameriprise Financial Community Impact Award recognizes Ameriprise financial advisors and employees who are dedicated to helping those in need and improving local communities. The annual award recognizes two individuals and two teams who generously give both their time and talent to nonprofit organizations across the United States.
