Melville Gas Station, Vehicles Go up in Flames
BREAKING: The gas station was extensively damaged from the Sunday night blaze, fire officials say.
A gas station and several vehicles were damaged from a blaze that broke out in Melville on Sunday night.
According to fire officials, more than 75 firefighters responded to Richie's Citgo Station on Walt Whitman Road to find the building fully engulfed with flames at around 10:50 p.m.
Flames were coming out of all three service bays, but firefighters were able to get the fire under control at around 1 a.m. The building was extensively damaged along with vehicles parked inside the service garage.

No injuries were reported and the blaze is under investigation by the Suffolk Police Arson Squad and Huntington Town Fire Marshal.
Firefighters from the Melville Fire Department responded to the scene along with firefighters from East Farmingdale, Huntington Manor, Plainview, Dix Hills and Farmingdale, Greenlawn and Syosset fire departments. Twelve trucks were used to battle the blaze.
