Melville Social Security Office Undergoing Renovations
Beginning next week, the elevator will be getting repaired. The office will only be accessible by stairs, so here are some alternatives.
MELVILLE, NY — The Social Security Administration office at 1121 Old Walt Whitman Road, Suite 201, Melville, will be undergoing elevator repair beginning Jan. 20, the office announced. The repairs are expected to take up to three weeks. During that time, the office, located on the second floor, will be accessible only via stairs.
Most Social Security services are available online, by visiting www.socialsecurity.gov, and by phone, by calling Social Security at 1-800-772-1213 or 1-800-325-0778 TTY. While the elevators are under repair, visitors who must conduct their Social Security business in-person, and who require street-level or elevator access, may visit one of the following Social Security offices:
- 510 Park Ave., West Babylon
- 211 Station Road, Mineola
- 84 N. Main St., Freeport
Social Security offices are open to the public Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
