Suffolk Woman Drove Drunk With Infant Daughter In Car: Police
Police say the woman was unresponsive behind the wheel when they first received a call. The child was unhurt.

MERRICK, NY — A Suffolk woman was arrested Tuesday evening after police say she was driving drunk with her infant daughter in her car.
According to police, officers responded to Merrick Road and Clubhouse Road in Merrick at 6:41 p.m. for a call of an unresponsive woman in the driver's seat of a 2016 Nissan Altima. Police say that the driver, Stephanie Quinones, 29, of Court Drive North, Melville, had slurred speech, glassy and bloodshot eyes, and a strong odor of alcohol on her breath.
Quinones's 23-month-old daughter was in the car with her, police said. Quinones was placed under arrest, and the child was released to a family member.

Quinones was charged with aggravated DWI (Leandra's Law), DWI, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police say she will be arraigned when medically practical.
