NEFCU’s “A Season Of Giving” Contest To Benefit Local Non-Profits

It’s that time again! Do you know of a charity in need of a little extra holiday cheer?

In keeping with the spirit of the holiday season we at NEFCU, a leading credit union serving all Long Island’s banking needs, are pleased to bring back for the third year in a row our “A Season of Giving” contest.

As NEFCU celebrates its 75th Anniversary this year, the credit union continues our tradition of giving back to the communities we serve. We are proud to be able to donate $5,000 to local Long Island charities again this holiday season. There are so many deserving organizations making such a lasting impact on Long Island, we feel there is no one better to decide the participants and the winners of this contest than the Long Islanders who support and benefit from their services.

The NEFCU Season of Giving contest takes place on Facebook via a special application. “Likes” of the page can nominate and then vote for their chosen charity. All nominated organizations must meet one of NEFCU’s community based goals.

The organization with the most votes will receive a charitable contribution from NEFCU in the amount of $2,500. The second most frequently voted charity will receive $1,500, and the third will receive $1,000. The contest began on 11/11/13. Nominations must be made by 5:00 p.m. EST on 12/2/13. Voting will end at 5:00 p.m. EST on 12/13/12.

The winner of the “A Season of Giving” contest will be announced December 20th on the NEFCU Facebook Page. Past winners include: Angela’s House, Girl Scouts of Nassau County, AHRC Nassau and the Seatuck Environmental Association.

We hope you will participate and nominate/vote for your favorite charity today!
