The New "Menu" at Walt Whitman Shops

With the highly anticipated opening of Long Island’s first Del Frisco’s Grille, Simon’s Walt Whitman Shops solidifies its reputation as an exceptional dining and shopping destination on Long Island.

Del Frisco’s Grille, a vibrant, upscale-casual eatery featuring elevated takes on classic American comfort foods, celebrates its opening of a 9,056 square-foot restaurant at Walt Whitman Shops on June 24. An ‘anytime eats’ dining destination, Del Frisco’s Grille serves lunch, brunch and dinner with an array of exciting menu items, featuring the freshest ingredients sourced as locally as possible.

Del Frisco's is already a household name for Manhattan residents and Long Island commuters to the city, with the famed Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse and Del Frisco's Grille both located in midtown New York. Soon, Long Islanders will be able to experience the Del Frisco's Grille concept without having to leave the Island, providing a new and exciting gathering place for guests to socialize over delicious food and handcrafted cocktails.

The opening of Del Frisco’s Grille complements the exceptional dining experience at Walt Whitman Shops, which includes:

· The Cheesecake Factory – The Cheesecake Factory menu features more than 200 selections made fresh from scratch each day. Guests should save room to enjoy one of its 50 legendary cheesecakes and specialty desserts.

· Brio Tuscan Grille (only NY location) – Experience the flavors of Tuscany without leaving the country. The restaurant features made-to-order pastas, grilled and oven-roasted steaks, chops and fresh fish as well as delicious entrée salads, flatbreads and bruschettas.

· P.F. Chang’s China Bistro – The P.F. Chang’s experience is a unique combination of Chinese cuisine, attentive service, wine and tempting desserts all served in a stylish, high-energy bistro.

· Zinburger Wine and Burger Bar (only Long Island location) – Zinburger offers a mouthwatering selection of gourmet burgers, salads and sides, decadent shakes and desserts and a carefully crafted selection of 18 wines by the glass, along with beer choices.

· California Pizza Kitchen – California Pizza Kitchen provides a range of inspired dishes, from hearth-baked pizzas, to creative salads, pastas, entrees, soups and sandwiches.

· Panera Bread – Guests can enjoy a variety of freshly made sandwiches on their choice of bread, accompanied by soup or salad. Panera also features fresh pastries, bagels and loaves of bread from its bakery.

The major transformation of Walt Whitman Shops into a fashion-forward shopping and dining destination was introduced in 2013 and featured the addition of more than 30 retailers, a 70,000 square-foot expansion, pedestrian-friendly walkway and inviting facade and commissioned bronze statue of famous poet and humanist Walt Whitman.
