Pedestrian Airlifted to Hospital Following Huntington Station Crash

The Huntington Station man was seriously injured Saturday night, authorities said.

A 20-year-old pedestrian was airlifted to a nearby hospital in serious condition after he was struck by a car in Huntington Station on Saturday night, according to Suffolk County Police.

Antonio Molina, of Huntington Station, attempted to cross New York Avenue, near the intersection of East 18th St., when he was struck by a 2002 Jeep traveling northbound at 10:55 p.m., police said.

A Suffolk County Police helicopter transported Molina to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was listed in serious condition.

The driver of the Jeep, a 26-year-old Huntington Station woman, was not injured in the crash.

The investigation of the crash is continuing.

Authorities impounded the vehicle for a safety check.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
