Playoffs begin for Half Hollow Hills Little League
The 8-year-old HHH Sluggers defeated the HHH Hurricanes 5-4.
The playoffs began this weekend for Half Hollow Hills fall baseball and will conclude on Halloween.
It was the first playoff game for the HHH Sluggers (2-10) and the HHH Hurricanes (1-11). The two 8-year-old teams played under the lights at Ostego Park in Dix Hills.
The HHH Hurricanes took the lead early scoring 4 runs in the top of first inning. HHH Sluggers were able to get one run back in the first (4-1), and two more runs in the second inning (4-3).

In the bottom of the third with time running out, the HHH Sluggers got their last at bat. The leadoff batter Pase hits a double, with the tying run on second; the next two batters walk.
Girsky comes to the plate with bases loaded, and hits a two RBI single to win the game for the HHH Sluggers.

Final score 5-4.
The HHH Sluggers will go on to play the Commack South Crushers on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Otsego Park.
The HHH Hurricanes go home with a nice bronze medal, and maybe their parents will get some rest till next spring.
