Police Seek Answers in Unsolved Dix Hills Homicide
Police released a computerized facial reconstruction of the man whose decomposed body was found off the Northern State Parkway in 2000.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and New York State Police are looking to find the person or persons responsible for the murder of an unknown man whose body was found in Dix Hills 16 years ago.
According to authorities, a decomposed body was found off the Northern State Parkway, east of Wolf Hill Road, on March 9, 2000. It was determined the unidentified man was shot with a large caliber pistol and shoved into a black garbage bag.
Police described the man as white, 35-45 years old, 140-150 pounds, with short, dark hair. He was wearing a khaki-colored short sleeve shirt with black trim, a t-shirt with a New Jersey emblem, jeans and a bathing suit.

Police released the above computerized facial reconstruction of the victim.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
