Pregnant Woman, 2 Others Hurt In Melville Crash
BREAKING: The two-vehicle crash occurred on Sunday afternoon.
A pregnant woman was among three people hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash in Melville on Sunday afternoon.
According to fire officials, the collision between a car and a van occurred on New York Avenue near Wolf Hill Road around 4:30 p.m. The Melville Fire Department responded to the crash and used heavy extrication tools to remove a door from one of the vehicles to rescue a trapped person.
The pregnant woman and two others were transported to Huntington Hospital by the Melville Rescue Squad to be treated for their injuries.

Four ambulances, an engine, a heavy rescue truck and a paramedic unit responded to the scene. All units were under the direction of Chiefs Jason Bernfeld, David Kaplan and Bill Schmitt.
