Rock Out and Dance for a Good Cause at Walt Whitman

Gaming and dance enthusiasts aged 12 to 19 years old are invited to participate in a rocking event for charity at the Walt Whitman Mall when the mall hosts a Guitar Hero and Just Dance 2 Competition to benefit the Melville Lions Club, this Saturday, March 5, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 6 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Center Court.

Contestants will compete for the highest overall score in three division/skill levels: Medium, Hard and Expert.  Judges will declare a winner in each division.  Trophies will be presented to all winners and runners-up, while each registered contestant will receive a Guitar Hero t-shirt. The contest entry fee is $15.

The Melville Lions Club has been serving the Huntington area since 1953, aiding the less fortunate in the community. Funds raised during the event will benefit local charities including The Lions High School Scholarship Fund and Simon Youth Foundation.
