Senior Dreams Come True Program at Psychic Medium Event

When David Brill of East Meadow attended the recent psychic medium fundraiser event sponsored by GDGC on behalf of the “Senior Dreams Come True” program, he never expected it to be such an eye opener.

“What a wonderful event,” said David.   “Before I was a skeptic, but now I am truly convinced that there are people like Psychic Medium Richard who can communicate with the other side.  He amazed me with the personal insights he revealed about my father and close friend who passed on,” said David.  Surprisingly, he also knew about a current problem I’ve been having with my son based on what my father told him.” 

Over 100 people attended the event at the Huntington Hilton and contributed more than $8,000 to the 501 (c)(3) Senior Dreams Come True charity, whic helps grant wishes for low income seniors on Long Island.  

“This fun and unique evening enlightened some and entertained others,” says Jennifer Cona, managing partner, Genser Dubow Genser & Cona, Melville.  “It was great to get colleagues, clients and the public together to raise money for such a worthwhile cause.”

Richard has the unique ability to “hear” voices and sounds and see images sent from the deceased.  He is passionate about healing the bereaved by speaking with those they have lost and facilitating closure, balance and wisdom to those who are living.

“My wife and I attended this fascinating event and would definitely go to another in a heartbeat,” says David Negrin.  “Somehow Richard recognized my mother in law’s unique name “Tinette”, and we got a comforting message from her that evening.”

Since GDGC Charitable Events launched Senior Dreams Come True a few months ago, two seniors have been awarded their wishes.  One couple who couldn’t afford a new mattress got one donated by Sleepy’s through the program.  Last month, a woman was awarded transportation to visit her disabled daughter upstate after not seeing her for five years.

Applicants for Senior Dreams Come True must be 65 or over with an income limit of no more than $1,500 per month for single individuals and $2,000 per month for a married couple. A letter or statement under 750 words describing the senior’s need must be submitted along with a Wish Request form.  Applicants should also document how they have given to others and contributed to society in some way.
