Seriously Spoiled! Comes To Dix Hills
New business looks to offer a unique spa-like experience to girls under 18.
Local parents looking for someplace special to celebrate their daughter’s birthday party now have a new choice right here in Dix Hills.
Seriously Spoiled will celebrate its grand opening on Sunday, March 6, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (although it's already open). Dana from WBLI in the Morning will be there the same day from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. They will be raffling off many items, including mini chocolate facials, and everyone who attends will get to create shimmering lotion.
Seriously Spoiled owners Lisa Gadzinski and Karen Pedra opened their first business, A Girl’s Got A Spa, three years ago in Patchogue. Following the success of that location, the two women — who are sisters — started looking for a second location.

Finding their new store in Dix Hills to be suitable, Gadzinski and Pedra are now looking to offer local residents the same level of customer service offered in their first location.
The idea for Gadzinski’s and Pedra’s first location came when Gadzinski's 10-year-old daughter wanted to have a spa party for her birthday. Gadzinski couldn't find any place that she liked, so she had the party in her basement.

"I designed a lounge for them," Gadzinski said. "The girls got to wear pink robes, drink pink lemonade. I had a spa company come in and give them services. My sister helped plan the party. And when people came in with their daughters for the party, they said we should open something like this."
Then, soon afterward, Pedra's daughter, who was 3, wanted to have her hair and nails done in a salon and they couldn't find anyplace that was any good that catered to children.
"Every place we looked at was dirty and had no ambience. They would just put the nail polish on her nails, but didn't clean them, file them, massage her hands with lotion, like they do for adults. Her daughter was so disappointed. We wanted the girls to have the same experience that we get in a spa or salon," Gadzinski said.
"So I said to my sister, 'we've got to do this.'"
And here they are, offering a "true spa and salon experience for girls 18 and under."
They have professionally trained cosmetologists, nail technicians and estheticians and the sisters tested all the products on their daughters and their friends. Nothing has nuts, because Pedra's daughter has a nut allergy, so they are very sensitive to that.
Girls can get a chocolate facial, an up-do, colored hair extensions, manicures and pedicures--all kinds of wonderful salon/spa treatments.
Of course you can have your daughter's birthday party here; they offer many different packages (which you can see on their website).
"So many girls have come up to me and said, 'It was the best day of my life.' Or 'I wish I could live here,'" Gadzinski said. "It makes me love what I do. Now I'm looking forward to pampering all of our Western Suffolk girls."
