Thursday, May 7-Half Hollow Hills Community Library-55 Vanderbilt Parkway, Dix Hills NY 11746

Thursday, 05-07-2015, 2:30PM - 4:30PM and 06-04-2015. Exchange ideas in this monthly discussion group led by HHH High School student Jack Goldberg based on the socratic practice of questioning. Based on the work of Christopher Phillips, author and co-founder of The Society for Philosophical Inquiry, Socrates Café groups are gatherings that meet all over the world when people from different backgrounds get together and exchange thoughtful ideas and experiences while embracing the central theme of Socratizing— the idea that we learn more when we question, particularly when we do so with others. Free registration begins April 27. 631-421-4530
