Why Go?: To support the HSE theater department as the students premiere the Robert Jason Brown musical, Songs For A New World.

Where/When: , corner of Threepence Drive, Dix Hills; Sunday noon.
Why Go?: To help celebrate the first anniversary of this garden which coincides with what would have been Anne Frank's 82nd birthday. The garden was built to pay tribute to Anne Frank through her words of wisdom as well as remind us of the goodness in mankind. Light refreshments will follow the program.

Where/When: , 55 Vanderbilt Parkway, Dix Hills; Saturday 10-11 a.m.
Why Go?: Bring the kids, ages 2-6 years old, to the Dix Hills Library to listen to some stories and make a simple craft. Register for this program and reserve your spot by calling the library at 631-421-4530.

Where/When: The Walt Whitman Trail in West Hills County Park, 98 Gwynne Road, Melville/West Hills; Saturday 1:45pm.
Why Go?: To take a 3.8 mile hike along the Walt Whitman trail to explore Long Island's highest point, Jayne's Hill, which is more than 400 feet above sea level. Bring water and snacks and meet at Jayne's Hill at Reservoir Road. All are welcome.

5. Lots of Soccer
Where/When: 1 - , Half Hollow Park, Old South Path (across from the Greens), Melville; Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
2 - , High School East; Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Why Go?: 1 - Join HBC Soccer Club as they host their end of the year festival with food, refreshments, quad soccer games, training clinics, playground and sign-ups and information for the fall season.
2 - Come show your support and honor the life High School East graduate, Matthew Scarpati, who was killed in July 2009 by a drunken motorcyclist on the Wantagh Parkway. The tournament serves as an annual fundraiser for the Miles for Matt Foundation.
