'Tipsy' Beer Truck Overturns; Road Fills With Thousands Of Smashed Bud Lights
A crash between a truck and a car caused a mess Wednesday morning. No serious injuries — other than the Bud's suds casualties.
MELVILLE, NY — Bud Light bottles spilled all over a Long Island Expressway Service Road when an 18-wheel truck carrying the beer overturned Wednesday morning, police say.
According to authorities, the truck carrying the Bud Light was involved in a crash with a car that caused both vehicles to overturn at the intersection of South Service Road and Walt Whitman Road in Melville at 12:15 a.m.
Police say beer spilled on the road and the New York State Department of Transportation responded to the crash.

The two drivers, both men, were out of their vehicles when the Melville Fire Department responded to the crash. The men were transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow by the Melville Rescue Squad to be treated for minor injuries. The driver of the car was issued a ticket for unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
About 25 firefighters and rescue personnel were on the scene with four ambulances, an engine, heavy rescue truck and paramedic unit. All units were under the direction of Chiefs Chris Nolan and David Kaplan.
