Two HHH HS West Scholar Athletes

James Barone and John Battistelli are named scholar athletes.

Half Hollow Hills High School West congratulates two students on being named News 12 scholar athletes.

Congratulations to on being recognized as a Scholar Athlete. A high honor roll student, James is an accomplished athlete in two varsity sports—baseball and volleyball.  Nominated by varsity baseball Head Coach Thomas Migliozzi, James is one of the top 100 baseball players in New York State, shortstop and team captain, named All-County junior year. He also plays volleyball and was named All-County in his junior year, and again this year, as he led the team to their first ever New York State Championship title. James is headed to Villanova in September.

Congratulations to John Battistelli on being recognized as a Scholar Athlete. A high honor roll student, John will be attending Syracuse University studying architecture. John athletic accolades are in cross country and indoor/outdoor track and field. In cross country, he holds two school records, has received All-League, All-Division, and All-County titles, and is team captain. In indoor track and field, his accomplishments include All-League and Suffolk County Champs all four years. In outdoor track and field, John participated in the 4xMile Relay New Balance Outdoor Nationals, and the team was named League Champs these past three years.
