National gym chain launches Retro Resolutions contest.

Having trouble keeping your New Year's resolution already? Maybe RetroFitness can help.

, a national fitness chain with a location in Dix Hills, announced it is kick-starting 2011 with a new Facebook campaign, Retro Resolutions, as an incentive to help members stay on track with their New Year's resolutions.

Now through February 18, 2011, RetroFitness Facebook fans are encouraged to upload a photo of themselves and a caption describing their New Year's resolution. The photo that has the most "Like" votes by noon EST on February 18 will receive a free one-year membership to a RetroFitness gym of their choice, as well as three free months for a friend.

To enter the contest, an eligible participant must become a fan of the RetroFitness fan page by visiting www.facebook.com/retrofitnessgym. Every contestant is encouraged to share their post with family and friends on Facebook to retrieve even more "Like" votes for a greater chance to win.

“We’re here to help our members stay on track and meet their health and fitness goals for 2011,” said Kenneth Nicosia, owner of RetroFitness in Dix Hills. “Retro Resolutions offers members an incentive to keep going strong at the gym to get the results they want. Anything we can do to keep our members’ energy levels high, we’re going to do. I really hope a Dix Hills member wins!”

Founded in 2004 by entrepreneur Eric Casaburi, RetroFitness has evolved from a regional Mid-Atlantic gym concept into a national fitness system with more 100 gyms in its development pipeline. Under Casaburi’s leadership, RetroFitness has grown to 60-plus gyms in 10 states.
