Woman Hospitalized After Overturn Crash In Dix Hills

DIX HILLS, NY - A woman was hospitalized after an overturn crash in Dix Hills on Sunday afternoon.

The Dix Hills Fire Department and Suffolk Police responded to the crash at about 12:35 p.m. on Ryder Avenue near Wildwood Drive.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee lost control and overturned on its side on the front lawn of a home.

The driver was extricated from the vehicle by Dix Hills firefighters, and she was transported to Huntington Hospital with non-life threatening injuries by the Dix Hills FD Rescue Squad.

Two heavy rescue trucks, an ambulance, paramedic and first responder units were dispatched and under the direction of Third Assistant Chief Scott DiPino.
