Hit-And-Run Injures 1 In Harlem, Police Say

After hitting the 66-year-old victim, the driver sped off, NYPD officials said.

HARLEM, NY — A 66-year-old man riding an e-bike was injured on Sunday afternoon after a driver hit him and fled the scene on 125th Street, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the victim was biking east on 125th Street between Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on Sunday at 4:35 p.m. when a car hit him.

After hitting the victim, the driver sped off, heading eastbound toward Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard along 125th Street.

The impact caused the man to fall from his bike, injuring his arms, shoulders, knees, and legs, NYPD officials said.

The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he is in stable condition, police said.

Police have not made any arrests yet, and the investigation is underway, officials said.
