Teen Killed, Man Injured In Manhattan Shooting, Police Say

Police said that a "person of interest" was arrested at the scene.

HARLEM, NY — A 15-year-old boy was shot to death and a 57-year-old man was injured in Harlem on Wednesday night, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the shooting rang out at 6:21 p.m. at the King Towers, on West 115th Street between Fifth Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard.

Police arrived at the scene after receiving an alert from ShotSpotter and found 15-year-old Jihad Pack with a gunshot wound to his stomach and the 57-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his right hand.

Pack lived at the King Towers, police said.

Medics rushed Pack to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he died, police said.

The 57-year-old was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition, police said.

Police said that a "person of interest" was arrested at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.

Police did not say what led up to the shooting.
