Missing East Harlem Man, 70, Found Safe

The 70-year-old East Harlem man who had been missing since Friday has been found safe, police said.

Update, Feb. 24: Lewis has been found and is safe, police said Tuesday evening.


EAST HARLEM, NY — An elderly East Harlem man has been missing since last week, when we was seen inside a Midtown building, police said.

Lawrence Lewis, 70, was last seen around 7 p.m. Friday inside 315 Madison Ave., near 42nd Street, police said.

He is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 170 pounds with a medium build and light complexion.

He was last seen wearing a green ski hat and a black jacket.
