Person On CitiBike Shoots Man In Harlem: Police

Video captured last month's shooting, in which a man riding a CitiBike fired a shot at people on a Harlem sidewalk, according to police.

HARLEM, NY — Authorities are searching for a man who pulled up on a CitiBike and fired shots at a group of people on a Harlem street last month, injuring one man, according to police.

The shooting happened around 12:45 a.m. on May 24, on West 143rd Street between Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Boulevard and Lenox Avenue.

Video released by police shows the unidentified man stopping his blue CitiBike in the middle of the street, pulling out a handgun and then firing one shot toward the sidewalk as bystanders scurry for cover.

The shot hit the leg of a 21-year-old man, who was brought to Harlem Hospital in stable condition and later released.

The alleged gunman fled the scene in an unknown direction.
