67-Year-Old Indicted For Taking Up-Skirt Pics On Metro-North

A Westchester County grand jury has handed down felony charges against the rider accused of violating an unsuspecting female passenger.

HARRISON, NY — A 67-year-old Connecticut man is facing felony charges after authorities said he took illicit pictures on a New Haven Line train.

Majid Hedayati, of Riverside, was indicted after prosecutors said he took photos underneath the skirt of an unsuspecting female passenger while traveling on Metro-North.

Hedayati was indicted by a Westchester County grand jury for felony second-degree unlawful surveillance, and was arraigned on Monday.

On Sept. 23, 2021, around 11:30 p.m., Hedayati was accused of using his cellphone to photograph under the victim’s skirt while sitting across from her on a Metro-North train traveling through Harrison from Grand Central Station. The victim’s friend, who was sitting directly next to Hedayati, confronted him and reported him to a conductor.

MTA police arrested Hedayati weeks later at Grand Central Station on Oct. 13, 2021.

The case is being prosecuted by Sex Crimes Bureau Chief Wendy Parra of the Special Prosecutions Division.
