Prolific author and media luminary Arianna Huffington will kick off the inaugural Castle Conversations speaker’s forum series on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 7 PM at Reid Castle on the Manhattanville College campus.
Ms. Huffington is the chair, president, and editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post Media Group, a nationally syndicated columnist, and author of fourteen books. She will share her unique take on the changing landscape of media and journalism.

Castle Conversations, a subscription-based speakers forum, engages, challenges and enlightens the people of Westchester and Fairfield counties with new ideas from the nation’s top journalists, scientists and historians.
In addition to Ms. Huffington (March 25, 2015), other Castle Conversations notable speakers are: Dan Rather, former CBS News anchor (June 24, 2015); Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson, head of the Hayden Planetarium in New York City and executive editor, host and narrator of Cosmos: A Space Time Odyssey (September 9, 2015) and Doris Kearns Goodwin, Pulitzer Prize-winning author, historian and biographer (December 2, 2015).

“No other forum like this exists here and we want the speakers to stimulate discussions in Westchester and Fairfield counties about the radically changing world in which we live,” said Jon C. Strauss, president of the college. “It is our way of reaching out to the community, building relationships and sharing with our neighbors the ideas of the brightest minds in America.”
In May 2005, Ms. Huffington launched The Huffington Post, a news and blog site that quickly because one of the most widely-read, linked to and frequently-cited media brands on the Internet. In 2012, the site won a Pulitzer Prize for national reporting.
Ms. Huffington has been named to Time Magazine’s list of the world’s 100 most influential people and the Forbes Most Powerful Women list. Originally from Greece, she moved to England when she was 16 and graduated from Cambridge University with an M.A. in economics.
