Coastal Flooding Possible in Southern Westchester: National Weather Service
Localized, minor this morning, then possibly more widespread this evening.

A Coastal Flood Statement has been issued for Southern Westchester by the National Weather Service. It warns of localized, minor flooding this morning, and then more widespread flooding possible tonight. The advisory remains in effect until 1 a.m. Friday.
The NWS issued the advisory for the low-lying coastal areas along western Long Island Sound. Tides could be one to one-and-a-half feet above normal.
The most vulnerable waterfront and shoreline roads could see minor flooding, as well as adjacent properties. Inundation of 12 to 18 inches above ground level, and a few road closures are likely, the NWS warned.
Beach erosion could also take place.
