Hannon Wins Plaque at Manhattanville Sports Awards

The Top Spot:

Manhattanville College held their annual Athletics Awards Banquet yesterday. The co-male athletes of the year were to soccer player Eros Olazabal and baseball player Dan Fiorito. Emy Cote won the female athlete of the year.

Harrison’s Dan Hannon won the Valiant Plaque for the second time and, according to the article written by Manhattinville’s Steve Sheridan, “Hannon has been a tremendous supporter of the Manhattanville Athletic Department for many years, serving as one of the department's go-to people whenever there is an issue with facilities. At all hours of the day, Hannon is always available to deal with a problem and keep our activities running as smoothly as possible. Hannon previously won the Valiant Plaque award back in 1997 as well.”

The athletic department handed out ten awards in total.

• Four Manhattanville softball players earned All-Conference Honors as Katie Pitcher was first conference, and Ashley Dell, Alyssa Taylor and Jessica Van Gallen each made it to the second team All-Freedon Conference.
