Designs That Donate™ based in Purchase, NY, was originally founded by sisters- in-law Keri Starker and Farrel Starker in 2014. The concept came out of a simple idea that grew into a familiar brand and household name to many customers in Westchester County- a service that combines shopping with charitable giving. When Keri and Farrel first came up with their business model they thought long and hard to figure out how they could truly make a difference. They first introduced their concept to the local Westchester community and what started as a small grass roots business expanded throughout Westchester, extended beyond into the Metropolitan area, Long Island and into the National marketplace. They have now donated to several hundred charity organizations and have close to over 4200 followers. Clearly the model works.

Designs That Donate™ is a vehicle through which customers have the luxury of shopping in person, through Instagram, online or via email with a percentage of the purchase price designated to the charity of the customer’s choice.

Being savvy shoppers as well as designers, the Designs that Donate™ team is passionate about spotting new trends, working directly with designers and making sure that every item featured is of the highest quality at the right price. The founders along with the Designs that Donate™ team can often be seen at many sponsored charity events, private corporate and in- home shows while often working closely with customers by appointment.

“Everyone loves to shop-some more than others,” states Farrel Starker, “but what we have found out is that everyone loves to give back.” “My five year goal is tied in the growth of Designs that Donate™ but I think our bigger vision is for us to be everyone’s first call when buying an item or gift.”

Keri Starker, background in jewelry design, loves to scour the marketplace, particularly when doing so for the benefit of clients. We work hard but the end result is very rewarding,” states Starker.
