Driver Crashes Car Through Front Doors Of Purchase Post Office

PURCHASE, NY — A car that crashed into a post office caused multiple nearby Westchester County fire departments to respond to the dramatic scene.

The car crashed into the Purchase Post Office on Saturday, shortly after noon, officials said. The Purchase Fire Department, the Port Chester Fire Department (Rescue 40) and Harrison EMS were dispatched to the facility on Purchase Street.

The car somehow came to a stop inside the vestibule of the post office, the Purchase Fire Department said. No injuries were reported and the Purchase Fire Department said units were at the scene for about an hour.
