Experience Capoeira - Brazilian Culture Celebrated in August at Harrison Public Library
Interactive workshop on the history, tradition, sights and sounds of Capoeira at the Harrison Library on 8/15/16 at 6:00pm.

The Harrison Public Library hosts a series of programs celebrating Brazil during the month of August in honor of the host country for the 2016 Summer Olympics!
On August 15, 2016 they have invited the talented and passionate Instrutora Coruja from The Capoeira Center, Capoeira Luanda of New Rochelle, NY to present an interactive teaching demonstration and performance for audiences of all ages. Capoeira, a martial art, rich in tradition, that combines dance, music, and acrobatics in this interactive performance. Audiences will learn about the history and culture of Brazil through a Capoeira demonstration including live music, discussion, and instruction, followed by a Q&A.
This event is FREE and open to the public. Seating is limited, arrive early.
