Harrison High School Playhouse Presents The Crucible

Members of the HHS Playhouse are proud to present Arthur Miller's timely classic at the Harrison Performing Arts Center this weekend

The Harrison High School Playhouse proudly presents Arthur Miller’s classic drama The Crucible. Performances will take place in the Harrison Performing Arts Center at Harrison High School on Friday, November 18th at 7pm, Saturday, November 19th at 7pm, and Sunday, November 20th at 2pm. The matinee will be followed by a fifteen-minute talk-back session with the director, cast, and crew.

Set during the Salem Witch Trials, The Crucible was an allegory for the infamous Red Scare, and McCarthy’s Communist “Witch Hunt” of the 1950s. In the play, Miller aptly demonstrates how rumor, lies, and unfounded accusations can lead to catastrophe in a society.

This production is directed by Nina Haberli, HHS Playhouse’s club advisor and Harrison High School’s theater arts teacher. The play’s assistant director is sophomore Conner Kelly and will be performed by a cast of 27 students, and run by Harrison High School’s technical crew.
