Harrison Schools Calendar 2016-17

You may be thinking about how many more days you can go to the beach, but the first day of school is just around the corner. With that in mind, here are important dates for the 2016-17 school year in Harrison.

• Labor Day (school closed): Sept. 5
• First day of school: Sept. 6
• Rosh Hashanah (school closed): Oct. 3-4
• Columbus Day (school closed): Oct. 10
• Yom Kippur (school closed): Oct. 12
• Veterans Day (school closed): Nov. 11
• Thanksgiving: early dismissal Nov. 23, Nov. 24-25
• Holiday recess: Dec. 26-30 (school resumes Jan. 3)
• Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday (school closed): Jan. 16
• Presidents Day (school closed): Feb. 20
• Winter recess: Feb. 20-24
• Spring recess: April 10-14
• Memorial Day weekend (school closed): May 29
• Last day of school: June 23
