Harrison Veterans Day Parade Is Saturday

Don't miss: step-off time is 10 a.m.

HARRISON, NY — Veterans Day will be celebrated this year on Saturday in West Harrison in a parade.

"Our veterans have bravely served to protect our freedom," said Ben DeFonce, U.S.M.C. Retired. "The spirit of all Americans has been shining through with resolve to vanquish a horrible enemy and restore this country to its cherished way of life. It was this very same spirit that drove our veterans towards victory in the many wars and conflicts of the past century. Now it’s time that we all stand together in honoring our veterans, police, fire and emergency services. We will do this with a parade and ceremonies to be held in West Harrison."

  • LINE-UP TIME: 9:30 AM on Columbus and Underhill Avenues, West Harrison
  • STEP-OFF TIME: 10:00 AM
  • PARADE PARTICIPANTS: Veterans Groups, Harrison Police, Harrison Fire Departments, Harrison High School Marching Band, Harrison Ambulance Corps and any and all other civic groups who would like to march with us.
