On November 8th, 257 students at Harrison Avenue Elementary School participated in the Guinness World Records Day to beat "The Most People Sport Stacking at Multiple Locations in One Day" record.

“Sport stacking is an activity enjoyed by all ages and cultures. It promotes hand-eye coordination, brain activation, fitness, improved reaction time, concentration, focus, teamwork, speed, and is a lot of fun,” said HAS physical education teacher Estel Sampelayo, who along with her colleagues Rita Beardsley and Derrick Fish, helped to organize the event.

The previous Guinness World record was held by students worldwide which included 622,809 people sport stacking at the same time in one day. This year, the record was toppled by 624,390 stackers and included 2,833 schools and organizations from 25 different countries.
