HHS IB Biology and Forensics Students Study DNA at Cold Spring Harbor Labs

Harrison High School Students Get A Chance To Work AS CSI's by Studying DNA Fingerprinting

The Harrison High School IB Biology HL Year 2 and Forensics Science students traveled to the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory: DNA Learning Center to apply the techniques and research that they have been studying in the classroom. The unique learning experience was made possible through a grant received from the Harrison Educational Foundation.

The Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is one of the leading genetics facilities in the United States. During their visit, the Harrison High School science students learned about the process of DNA Fingerprinting and were able to participate in a laboratory experiment with experts in the field using this process.
