Congratulations to Harrison High School junior Michael DeRenzis who finished as the top bowler from Section 1 in the New York State Bowling competition on March 2, 2014 in Babylon, New York. He was one of six bowlers from the Section to compete at States and the first two-handed bowler in Section 1 history to earn such honors. Mike’s top score at the tournament was 237.
Mike, whose season bowling average was a 216, helped the Huskies clinch another league Championship – their third in a row. He and HHS Girls Bowling team member Zoe Rheingold had the highest average in the league during the regular season. Michael was also awarded bowling’s “Triple Crown” for carding the highest average, the highest game, and the highest Series this year.
Congratulations to Mike on an outstanding season.
