HHS Seniors Are National Merit Scholarship Finalists

Harrison High School's Madeline Rawson and Matthew Zinman receive prestigious accolade

Harrison High School seniors Madeline Rawson and Matthew Zinman have been named 2017 National Merit Scholarship Finalists. Madeline will be attending Williams College and Matthew will be attending Columbia University in the fall.

Over 1.5 million students participated in the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) and met other program participation requirements to be entered into the 2015 competition. Of the 50,000 students that are selected nationally, 34,000 receive Letters of Commendation in recognition of their outstanding academic promise and from those 16,000 students qualify as National Merit Semifinalists. Students are notified in late February if they have advanced as National Merit Finalists.
