HHS Varsity Athletes Harris and Konigsberg Sign Letters of Intent

Harrison High School Runners To Compete At The Collegiate Level

Congratulations to Harrison High School seniors Ricky Harris and Matt Konigsberg who will continue their athletic pursuits at the collegiate level next year.

Ricky Harris will be running Cross Country at Pace University in the fall. Harris has been an integral member of the Harrison High School Cross Country for his four years. He has received All League designations and led the Huskies to the Cross Country League Championship this year– finishing fourth overall. In addition, Harris has been a contributing member of the Harrison Winter and Spring Track and Field teams, adding the Steeplechase event to his arsenal. He has also received All League accolades in these seasons as well. Harris is a New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Scholar-Athlete.

Matt Konigsberg, who is something of hurdles specialist, will be running for Wake Forest University next year. Konigsberg has been a member of the Harrison League winning Track and Field teams during the Winter and Spring Seasons – where he was on the League winning 4x400 Relay teams. This past Winter, Konigsberg won the 55m Hurdles event at the Westchester County Championships, was a member of the 4 x 400 relay team that placed 2nd, and placed 4th in the 300m dash. He was also this year’s League Champion in those three events, earning him All County and All Section accolades. At the Section 1 Championship, he finished in third place for the 300m and advanced to compete at the New York State Track and Field Championships – where he finished 23rd. He too is a NYSPHSAA Scholar- Athlete.
