Harrison High School junior golfer Justin Stagg earned a spot on the Section 1 golf team and has qualified for the State Championship to be held at Cornell University from May 30-June 2.
In only his first season with the Huskies, Stagg shot an 81 in his first round at Mahopac Country Club to finish in 10th place, securing a spot in the final round. In the next round, Stagg shot a 78 at Fenway Country Club and finished the Section 1 tournament in 8th place. The top nine golfers from the Section have earned the right to compete against the other New York Sections in the State Championship.
“He has made Harrison proud and we wish him the best of luck,” said Harrison High School Boys Varsity golf coach Michael Ciavarella.
