In the Class B Section 1 Championships, the Girls Varsity Track and Field team captured 2nd place and the Boys team finished an impressive 3rd as six individuals were crowned Section 1 Class B Champions in their respective events.
Senior Kyle Lefkowitz won the Section 1 Class B Championships in the Discuss event, while senior Jeremy Altamuro won for both Discuss and Shot Put events. Samantha Shopovick won in the Long Jump competition and Michelle Aguirre won in the Pentathlon event; the 4 x 100 boys relay team of Deven Jacobi, Dan Quinn, Ezra Lieblich, and Giovanni Valdes-Fauli were champions in their event.
Eighteen athletes advanced to the Section 1 State qualifier held May 29th and May 30th at Arlington High School and White Plains High School. They were:

“To advance to the New York State Championships, you must win your event against every competitor in all of Section 1,” said Coach Dominic Zanot. “As you will see from the performances below, many were very close.”

Boys 4 x 100 Relay: (Deven Jacobi, Dan Quinn, Matt Konigsberg, Giovanni Valdes-Fauli) – 4th Place and season best time
100m: Jia Luo – 8th Place
400 Hurdles: Erica LaManna – 5th Place
Triple Jump: Rula Samad – 4th Place – Personal Record and NEW SCHOOL RECORD
Emily Dugoff – 7th Place and Personal Record
Long Jump: Emily Dugoff – 9th Place
