LMK Environmental Club Helps Animals in Need
Louis M. Klein Middle School students collect gently used household items to help the New Rochelle Humane Society

Members of the LMK Environmental Club collected donations for the New Rochelle Humane Society. LMK Club member Victoria Szel, who volunteers each week at the Humane Society, brought to the group the idea of collecting used household materials that might normally go to a landfill and repurposing them to be used at the Shelter.
The club collected towels, blankets, stuffed animals, peanut butter (used for training), dog and cat beds, dog and cat toys, leashes, paper towels, cleaning products, dish and hand soap, hand sanitizers, laundry detergent, snow shovels, pet safe ice melt, heating pads and hot water bottles.
